Sales propectuses for individual properties at The Hannah Research Institute

Following the withdrawal of government funding for the Hannah Research Institute’s research programme and the transfer of its scientists to the university sector, the Institute’s governing body decided that John Hannah’s original objective could best be achieved by the development and sale of part of the Hannah Estate, the proceeds from which will create a Trust Fund to enable agricultural research to continue, albeit elsewhere. It is envisaged that the Fund will be used for agricultural research studentships in the short-term with the additional long-term aim of providing one or two annual research grants.

The McAlpine partnership have been assisting HRI in gaining outline planning permission for the development of part of the site. This has involved building a website, electronic cartographic services and the creation of an information leaflet as part of a pre-planning public exhibition. A 16 page prospectus (see opposite) was then designed and digitally printed to go out to potential developers.

Since then we have developed a range of marketing materials to facilitate the sale of individual properties on the estate; Mount Hamilton House and The Old Refectory. This included web sites, sales prospectuses, signage, exhibition material and a web video for The Old Refectory.

The Hannah Research Institute in now in a period of transition into the Hannah Research Trust. A body that will fund research and education projects. The McAlpine partnership have recently designed a new logo for this and we are currently developing a new website due to be launched in October 2013.
